Cron job of database backup are not deleted after upgrade

Issue/Introduction

A cron job of a database backup and deletion of old backup has stopped working after we upgraded Greenplum Database.

Resolution

There was a significant change in Greenplum Backup and Restore version 1.28 under the gpbackup_manager version 1.6.1 where the backup history was moved from a file called gpbackup_history.yaml to a SQLite database called gpbackup_history.db.

It could be due to this change that your cron job failed. We recommend that you re-write the scripts, customised scripts are not the purview of the Support Team. If you need help re-writing your customised script please consult your Account Manager.
