Issue/Introduction

  • "Multi NSX" is enabled from "NSX Manager--System--Compute Managers"
  • Unable to "Convert to an Image" to use vLCM with error "Multiple-NSX managers per vCenter feature is enabled but NSX-T Data Center is installed on the following host(s)"

Environment

VMware vCenter Server

VMware NSX

Cause

vSphere Lifecycle Manager (vLCM) is not interoperable with the Multi NSX feature

Resolution

To resolve this issue, the Multi NSX should be disabled from NSX side.

Before disable Multi NSX feature:

1: Log in to https://<vCenter Server hostname or IP address>/mob/?moid=ExtensionManager

Scenario 1: One NSX Manager (Cluster) registered to the vCenter

Scenario 2: Two NSX managers (Clusters) registered with the single vCenter

Scenario 3: One NSX manager (Cluster) registered to the vCenter without Multi NSX enabled

2: For Scenario 1: Edit Compute Managers from NSX to disable Multi NSX feature

For Scenario 2: Remove all the NSX components from one NSX Manager (Cluster) and Delete Compute Managers accordingly and then disable Multi NSX feature from another NSX Manager (Cluster)

For Scenario 3: This Multi NSX is not enabled
