No response from /api/v1/sites/self and cannot loading after login to NSX Manager

Issue/Introduction

  • When login to the NSX Manager GUI loading issues occur.
  • When tracing the network in the browser's developer tools, the response from /sites/self is pending.
  • The following error appears in NSX Manager's /var/log/site-manager/sm.log:

Environment

VMware NSX 4.1.0.2

Cause

There is an issue with the NSX site-manager service.

Resolution

Restarting the site-manager service may resolve the issue.
You will need to log in as root on each manager and do the following:
service site-manager-service restart
