After changing expired password using ssh can not update certificate due to credentials not matching

Issue/Introduction

After changing the password on vIDM using ssh it was not possible to:

• update the password
• update the certificate
• synch vIDM with LCM

Environment

LCM 8.18.1

 

Resolution

• Create a new key store with the pwd that was set when SSHed to the vIDM appliance
• Create another key store with the desired new password
• Use first created password as the old pwd and the second pwd as the new pwd to update the pwd on the vIDM appliance
• Update the vIDM appliance with the new certificate
• Synch the vIDM appliance in LCM
