The clone to library option is grayed out for templates

Issue/Introduction

When trying to clone a VM template to librray, the option is grayed out

Environment

• vCenter server 8.0.X

Cause

The "Export" vApp privilege is not granted to the role of the affected user.

Resolution

• Login to the vCenter UI
• Click on Menu > Administration > Roles.
• Select the role of the affected user and click on EDIT.
• Select vApp and check the Export box.
• Then click on save.

Logout of the affected user account and log back in for the prvilege to get applied.
