Inability to remove evacuated disk from Disk Group

Issue/Introduction

When trying to remove faulty disk from Disk Group in vCenter, receive error: "General vSAN error. vSAN disk data evacuation resource check has failed for disk or disk-group mpx.vmhba0:C0:T3:L0 (xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx) with mode noAction on host. Go to vSAN Data Migration Pre-Check page for more details."

 

To validate overall health of the disk, run below command

Cause

This is a known issue with the vCenter code

Resolution

The fix is available in vCenter 9.0 and vCenter 8.0.3 upcoming patch
