Issue/Introduction

Intermittent failures of Commvault audit backup jobs.

Error [Failed to attach filter 'hbr_filter' to scsi0:0: Already exists (195887109). ]] for client [ip##########].

Environment

ESXi 7.x

ESXi 8.x

Cause

ESXi is not able to complete requested task before timeout.

Resolution

Contact Commvault support to increase timeouts for their software. This will give ESXi more time to complete the tasks.
