Tasks may be prolonged such as unextending a network on the HCX appliance

Issue/Introduction

• When unextending a network, in the HCX Manager UI - Administration - Activity Logs reports, you would see prolonged times for "Deactivate Network Extension."
• From the /common/logs/admin/app.log, the logs show that the task to unextend the network completed within 5-10 minutes, while the HCX UI shows prolonged times.
• There is no network impact

Cause

The database table is incorrectly marked as complete when there are ongoing tasks still pending .

Resolution

This is a condition that may occur in a VMware HCX environment.
