Snapshot details not displayed in vSphere Client with Traditional Chinese

Issue/Introduction

• Using Traditional Chinese (zh-Hant) in the vSphere Client results in snapshot details being blank.
• The REVERT, EDIT, DELETE, and DELETE ALL buttons may be grayed out when a snapshot is selected.
• No such issues are observed when using other languages, such as English.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 8.0 U3 GA 

VMware vCenter Server 8.0 U3a

Cause

This is a known issue caused by a missing date locale format. The extra zh-Hant localization data was not loaded, resulting in the absence of the short date format required by the VM snapshot details.

Resolution

Upgrade vCenter Server to version 8.0 Update 3b or later. This issue has been resolved in vCenter Server 8.0U3b, refer to: VMware vCenter Server 8.0 Update 3b Release Notes.
