Issue/Introduction

  • Having created a Tenant in the vcf.broadcom.com portal and assigning users to it following the steps in: Create a new Tenant. You now wish to remove a Tenant ID created in error or no longer required.
  • Users may report mistakenly creating a tenant in the Business Service Console and requesting its removal.
  • Common user description: 'I mistakenly created a tenant... and I need this tenant to please be deleted.'

VCF Business Services Console 9.x
VCF Operations 9.0.x

Resolution

A Tenant can only be removed/deleted by the Broadcom Support team.

Please open a ticket with Broadcom Support and reference this article number 411706.

 

Prepare for Tenant Deletion

  1. Log in to the Business Service Console.

  2. Rename the tenant that requires deletion to include the prefix "To Be Deleted -".

    • Example: Rename [Tenant Name] to To Be Deleted - [Tenant Name].

      This prevents other users from accidentally using the tenant and clearly flags it for the backend engineering team

  3. Open a Support Request with Broadcom Support.


    Note: Explicitly state in the case description that the tenant has been renamed and is ready for deletion.
