Windows Java Agent: File Event Detection Fails on NTFS Symbolic Links

Issue/Introduction

The Java-based Windows Agent does not detect files in a File Event when the monitored directory contains an NTFS symbolic link. Although standard Windows jobs (for example, running dir in the same path) execute successfully.

This behavior is specific to the Java-based Agents in versions 21 and 24.
