VCF MGMT Domain hosts enter a PSOD

Issue/Introduction

Hosts in VCF MGMT Domain enter a PSOD loop.

Environment

VCF
vSAN
ESXi

Cause

NVMe devices attached to Tri-mode controller for use with vSAN is not supported configuration.
VMware vSAN will only support SAS and SATA devices attached to a Tri-mode controller.

Resolution

NVMe devices are only supported if directly connected to a PCIe slot on the bus. Work with your server vendor to replace drive backplanes, remove storage controllers or re-cable the system to achieve this configuration.
