Issue/Introduction

Attempting to migrate both management network and two uplinks to DVS from a standard switch with LAG group fails.

Environment

VMware vSphere 8.0.x

Cause

Management network on ESXi host set with both uplinks as standby on standard switch.

Resolution

• Update vmkernel with management network to have both uplinks set to active for teaming and failover.
• Migrate management networking and vmnic uplinks.
• Management vmkernel requires uplinks to be set to active prior to migration of management network and uplinks to configured LAG.
