VMware Live Recovery fails to upgrade

Issue/Introduction

An upgrade of VMware Live Recovery from 8.7 to 8.8 fails immediately.

Error: "Failed to install Update" is noticed in VAMI

Environment

VMware Live Recovery 8.X

Cause

md5sum mismatch was observed with the present mapped ISO.

updatecli.log.

Resolution

Download a new ISO.
Run a md5sum against the newly downloaded ISO at ESXi level.
md5sum generated by ESXi should match the md5sum on our support.broadcom.com download page.




Run the update installer again.
