Issue/Introduction

ZOS Filetransfer changes name targetfile if a symbol like § is within the dataset.

The same occurs if the dataset is checked using a PREP_PROCESS_FILE on a file with a § in its name.
The kind of error message is:

20250811/140149.017 - U00011411 FT '4151016(oid=0)': ​​Receiving file '#293746.TEST.FT?@P'.
20250811/140149.020 - U00011402 File '#293746.TEST.FT?@P' could not be opened. Error code: '47(EDC5047I An invalid file name was specified as a function parameter.)', Error description: 'svc99 0h/lastop 151'.

Environment

Agents GSS (like VMS, ZOS, AS400, BS2000) connected to the Automation Engine 24.x via a regular CP.

Cause

DE174682: unicode issue on the CP side

Resolution

Workaround:

Connect the GSS Agent to the TLS Gateway via a CP.PORT instead of connecting it to the regular CP.

Solution:

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.
