Issue/Introduction

  • Is it possible to add a delta column in the Cost Plan Detail?
  • This column has to be capable of manual entry of numbers
  • The number entered should be debited (subtracted) or credited (added) to the Total Cost in the Cost Plan Detail.

Resolution

It is not possible to define a new column that would then affect the 'Totals' column. This cannot be implemented because:

  1. The 'Totals' column derives its values from Time Scaled fields. It indicates the summation of individual values over a period of time, of those Time Scaled columns / fields. Defining a column of 'number' data type will therefore not come under the purview of the 'Totals' column
  2. In addition to this, the 'Totals' column considers one Time Scaled column at a time. It does not show values based on Time Scaled values in two or more columns.
