Impact of load on the guest OS on the source virtual machine
vCenter Server
If a high-load process is being performed on the guest OS, the quiescing operation during cloning may fail.

-----
If a load generator or other intensive application is running in the guest OS during the clone operation, the virtual machine quiescing operation may fail. This may result in VMware Tools being denied CPU resources and timing out. You can quiesce a virtual machine that is performing low-intensity I/O disk operations.
