This article is a quick guide for the customers who want to reinstall Antrea CNI in vSphere Supervisor.
VMware NSX
vSphere Supervisor / VKS
vSphere Supervisor Guest Cluster using Antrea CNI as the default. To reinstall Antrea, you can delete the Antrea Agent Pods by accessing the relevant Guest Cluster and using the kubectl command.
1. Connect to the Workload Cluster: Ensure you are connected to the correct Supervisor Kubernetes workload cluster where the Antrea agent pod resides. You can set the context using:
2. Identify the Antrea Agent Pod: List the Antrea agent pods to identify the specific pod you want to delete. Antrea agent pods are typically part of a DaemonSet and run in the kube-system namespace.
kubectl get pods -n kube-system -l app=antrea-agent
This command lists pods with the label app=antrea-agent in the kube-system namespace.
3. Delete the Antrea Agent Pod: Once you have identified the pod name, delete it using kubectl delete pod.
kubectl delete pod <antrea-agent-pod-name> -n kube-system
Since Antrea agent pods are managed by a DaemonSet, a new pod will automatically be created to replace the deleted one, ensuring the Antrea agent functionality is restored on the node.
