SNMP service crash in edge node and generated core dump file.

Issue/Introduction

• SNMP Service Crashes and stops working.
• Core dump is also generated for SNMP service crash
• Core Files are located in the /var/log/core or /image/core
  -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 502K Jun 13 03:21 core.snmpd.1749784894.19973.0.11.g
• Below log entries are seen in /var/log/syslog

Environment

VMware NSX version before 9.1

Cause

Due to race condition,Segmentation Fault Occurs which results in SNMP service Crash and Coredump file is generated.

Resolution

Issue would be resolved in VMware VCF NSX version 9.1

Workaround:
Restart SNMP service from the root using below command
root@<edge_name>:# /etc/init.d/vmware-snmpd restart
