Log filtering not supported when forwarding logs to a remote syslog server in Aria Automation

Issue/Introduction

When configuring log forwarding from Aria Automation to a remote syslog server using the 'vracli remote-syslog' command, there is no option available to apply log filtering. Administrators may want to forward only specific log types, but this functionality is not currently supported in Aria Automation.

Environment

Aria Automation 8.x

Cause

• Aria Automation does not provide log filtering capabilities in the current implementation of the 'vracli remote-syslog' command.
• All logs are forwarded in their entirety to the configured remote syslog server.

Resolution

• Log filtering when forwarding logs to a remote syslog server using the 'vracli remote-syslog' command is not supported.
• Ensure the remote syslog server has sufficient storage and filtering/aggregation capabilities to handle the forwarded logs.
