Issue/Introduction

Getting the following error while importing the OVF in vSphere Client:

XXX:XX:VALUE_ILLEGAL: Value "XX" for element "{http://schemas.dmtf.org/wbem/wscim/1/cim-schema/2/CIM_ResourceAllocationSettingData}AddressOnParent"

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.0.x
VMware vCenter Server 8.0.x

Cause

This issue is caused because the total number of disks in OVF exceeds the maximum limit of vCenter Server, which is 15.

Resolution

This is un expected behavior, you may import the OVF from Host Client or using OVF Tool.

The instruction of OVF Tool can be found in the OVF Tool Command Syntax to Export and Deploy OVA/OVF Packages
