Aria Operations Management pack for ServiceNow throwing non-descript "error:null" type messages

Issue/Introduction

• ServiceNow MP 9.0 in Aria Operations 8.18.3 state shows "Collecting", but status shows "ERROR"
• Test connection is successful but the MP integration is in Warning state
• The adapter log is filled with log traces which point towards an issue with the CMDB-sync configuration
• The log messages may show:
  
  "Could not find dependent parent relationship Hosted on::Hosts builtInDatacenter for resource VMWARE VirtualMachine: ..."
  
  
• A debug level logs for the management pack is needed to find the specific cause of the StackOverflowError (See Additional information section below)

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 8.18.x
Aria Operations Management pack for ServiceNow 9.0.0.x

Cause

 There may be unexpected dependent relationships to the DataCenter object or others when we expect there to be none during the CMDB sync

Resolution

• The fix will require a custom limited patch for your version of Aria Operations Management pack for ServiceNow 9.0.0.x
• There currently is no public released patch or newer build version of the management pack to address this issue
