Aria Operations could not collect Microsoft SQL Queries

Issue/Introduction

List of MS SQL Queries shows "The view cannot be rendered for the specified Object." in Microsoft SQL Query Dashboard.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.3

Management Pack for Microsoft SQL Server 9.0

 

Cause

The default Thread Timeout value of 30s may be insufficient for your environment.

Resolution

Raising Thread Timeout value to 240s should resolve any collection issues due to this problem.

(Thread Timeout was under the advanced settings of Management Pack for Microsoft SQL Server adapter)

 

Additional Information

Note also that raising the timeout does not cause collection to take any longer, it just gives it more time in which to complete. In addition, increasing the Thread Pool Size should help performance if you are running into collection timeout problems.
