Unable to download bundles from OBTU for VCF 5.2.2 version.

Issue/Introduction

Using below command to download,

./lcm-bundle-transfer-util --download --depotDownloadToken download-token -sv  5.2.1.1 -p 5.2.2.0 --outputDirectory binaries_dir

 

Receiving below log entries in obtu.log,

2025-09-12T14: 39: 37. 065+0530 [main] DEBUG [com. vmware. evo. sddc. lcm. tools. bundletransfer. BundleTransferUtility] com.vmware. evo. sddc. lcm.model. error. LcmException: Failed to generate the delta file H: \VCF\vcf5.2.2\deltaFileDownloaded, which would contain all details on all interim bundles to get from source VCF version 5.2.1.1 to target VCF version 5.2.2.0.

Caused by: java. lang. RuntimeException: VCF Release 5.2.1.1 not found in LCM Manifest

Environment

VCF 5.2

Cause

VCF 5.2.1.1 is a minor patch update, hence OBTU command does not recognize it.

Resolution

Instead of using 5.2.1.1 need to 5.2.0.0 as source version in the command as below,

./lcm-bundle-transfer-util --download --depotDownloadToken download-token -sv  5.2.0.0 -p 5.2.2.0 --outputDirectory binaries_dir
