Does Netops Kafka support the SASL_SSL security protocol?

Issue/Introduction

We would like to enable the SASL_SSL security protocol in our Netops Kafka.  Can you please let us know if this is already supported?

Spectrum 24.3.x

NetOps Kafka Integration

Resolution

As per Engineering and Spectrum Product Management, SASL_SSL security protocol is not currently supported and is not currently on the roadmap to be implemented.

Additional Information

As per Engineering, It's not just a Spectrum requirement, Once Spectrum enables SASL all its consumers (NetOps Topology Services) must support the SASL for authentication.
