Issue/Introduction
When a new contract is booked for "VMware Cloud on AWS" (VMC on AWS) and/or "VMware Live Recovery" (VLR) products, the designated "Ship To" contact will receive a welcome letter containing instructions for onboarding to the new Cloud Services Console.
Once the user has successfully onboarded as the Organization Owner, they will need to release the tenant holds by assigning each contract line item to a new or an pre-existing organization.
IMPORTANT
In order to release an Organization Hold through the Cloud Services Console the user must be an Organization Owner.
When a new contract is booked for VMC on AWS and/or VLR products, a welcome message is sent to the designated "Ship To" contact. If that user is not the appropriate user to be assigned the Organization Owner role, the Alternate Contact workflow can be used to assign a different user within the company as the Organization Owner.
Previously, VMC on AWS and/or VLR Organization Holds were released through the Broadcom Support Portal / Fulfillment Dashboard tab. This is no longer available, as this functionality has transitioned to the Cloud Services Console.

Resolution
To complete the Organization Hold & Release process, follow these steps:
Log into the Cloud Services Console and navigate to the "Organization Hold" section via the left navigation menu. This section displays tenants categorized by status, such as "Tenant Hold" or "Complete." Click the pencil icon next to the relevant line item to start the tenant release process.
Choose to assign the contract line item to a "New Organization" or a pre-existing one. Note: You must be an Organization Owner to select a pre-existing Organization; otherwise, those options will be greyed out.
Select “New Organization", enter the Organization Name, and click “Submit”.
After submission, the "Last Updated By" column will refresh. The status will transition to "Pending" and finally to "Complete" once provisioning is finished.
You can use the drop-down menu to filter and view tenants by their current status (Tenant Hold, All, Pending, Complete, Error).
Once the tenant selection is processed on the backend the Status will change to "Complete".
The related services will then become available under "Services" > "My Services" tab for users within that organization to access the service.
