Unauthorized Access Error When Trying to Access DX NetOps Topology

Issue/Introduction

After configuring DX NetOps Topology in NetOps Portal, users are seeing the following error when trying load the Topology page.

Unauthorized Access   Retry

You are not authorized to access this resource.  Contact the administrator.

 

Resolution

This error occurs when a sync of the topology service has not been completed after the initial configuration. Running through the following steps should resolve this issue.

1. Navigate to the Administration -> Configuration Settings -> Topology Configuration Page

2. Select the Sync button and wait for it complete (this may take a couple of minutes)

3. Once completed, navigate back to the Inventory -> Topology page and press the blue Retry link.  The page will now load properly
