Timezone is reset to UTC after upgrading NSX Edge/Manager

Issue/Introduction

• You configured Timezone of NSX appliances with NSX CLI set timezone <Timezone>
• You upgraded NSX and the timezone is reset to UTC.
  • You can confirm the timezone by NSX CLI get clock
Example:

    edge> get clock
Wed Sep 17 2025 UTC 01:28:36.488
Wed Sep 17 2025 UTC 01:28:36.523
Timezone:        Etc/UTC (UTC, +0000)
NTP Sync Status: Not Configured

Cause

Upgrade does not migrate timezone to the new version.

Resolution

Currently there is no resolution.

As a workaround, consider the 2 options.

1. Configure timezone in node profile.
2. Configure timezone again after upgrade with NSX CLI set timezone <Timezone>
