Pure Storage Plugin deployment fails on vCenter

Issue/Introduction

• On vCenter UI under Administration > Client Plugin Pure Storage Plugin Status is Failed.

• /var/log/vmware/vsphere-ui/logs/vsphere_client_virgo.log

Reason: URL is unreachable. Make sure that the URL is reachable.

• Testing curl connectivity from vCenter to the Pure Storage server returns an HTTP 400 error.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.X
VMware vCenter Server 8.X

Cause

The download request is not accepted by the Pure Storage appliance, which returns an HTTP 400 error even though the plugin files are available on pure storage server.

Resolution

Engage Pure Storage support for further assistance.
