VCF on VxRail : failing during upgrade

Issue/Introduction

• Following errors will be reported at the SDDC Manager -
  Internal error while performing a VxRail Manager pre-check. VxRail Manager system pre-check responded with the following error(s): Cannot read the array length because "array" is null. Check the VxRail Manager logs for more information
  
  
• This is specific only to VCF on VxRail product 
  
  
• From the logs (radar.log at vxrail manager)-
  
  • SDDC fails at a precheck for VxRail Manager (XXXXXXXXXX) with the trace-

  • Radar logs(at vxrail)reported same errors and additionally, we do not notice same errors from the other VxRail-Manager nodes.
  • VxRail Manager runs a script called "vxverify" which validates some details related to the vxrail nodes and eventually fails with the following error trace-

Environment

VMware SDDC Manager
VCF on VxRail 

Cause

Third party issue, issue caused from the VxRail Manager as the nodes at VxRail are not identified or synced, due to which tasks related to SDDC upgrade fails 

 

 

Resolution

As precheck is failing on VxRail, hence, SDDC reports it as failed.
