Issue/Introduction

After upgrading or downgrading Symantec Reporter, the configured proxy settings are disabled.
This may result in connectivity issues for external communications that rely on the proxy.

Cause

When Reporter is upgraded or downgraded, some configuration files are reset as part of the installation process.
Because of this, the proxy settings are cleared and end up disabled once the process is finished.

Resolution

At present, this is expected behavior.

To restore connectivity after upgrade/downgrade :

  1. Log in to the Reporter CLI console.
  2. Perform below steps:
    reporter> enable
    Password:
    reporter# conf
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
    reporter(config)# proxy-settings enable
  3. Validate the Proxy settings by running below command:
    reporter# proxy-settings view

Verify connectivity by checking update tasks or network communication.
