Package Refresh Scheduled Task updates package versions every time it runs

Issue/Introduction

Package Refresh process updates the version for each package, including those without any changes.

This causes package re-downloads and synchronization for each package server and delays software distribution for existing clients.

Environment

This applies only to environments that were upgraded from 7.1.x versions (released in 2013), where an incorrect table definition was previously set.

The symptom appears only in SMP 8.8 release.

Cause

Product defect.

Table SWDPackage has the incorrect order of columns

final column should be External Server

Resolution

This issue has been addressed with our ITMS 8.8.1 Release. See ITMS 8.8.1 Release Notes
