Antrea interworking mp-adapter exit unexpectedly with exit code 2

Issue/Introduction

• Antrea interworking pod restarted unexpectedly.
• Exit code 2 when describing pod.
      Last State:     Terminated
      Reason:       Error
      Exit Code:    2
• The following logs indicate a race condition.
  fatal error: concurrent map iteration and map write

 

Environment

Antrea-interworking 0.13, 0.15, 1.1, 1.3

Cause

Race condition issue in Antrea interworking pod.

Resolution

• The race condition is in the monitoring feature code. The chance of the race to happen is very low.
  When the race condition happens, it triggers an mp-adapter restart and the mp-adapter will recover quickly after restart.
  The issue doesn't affect functionality.
• Fix in Antrea interworking version 1.4.
