Recovery User account being shown in Settings > Users

Products

• Carbon Black Cloud Endpoint Standard (formerly Cb Defense)
• Carbon Black Cloud Managed Detection (formerly Cb Threatsight)

Issue/Introduction

One or more users with the below details are shown in Settings > Users

• First name:
  • Recovery
• Last name:
  • User XXXXXX (X being random numbers)
• Email:
  • [e-mail]

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Console

Cause

Recovery accounts dealt with the migration to Authhub. Anytime someone launched the migration wizard, it would create a new recovery user. They are talked about here and here.

Resolution

• These users can be deleted
• The migration wizard had a step at the end that would automatically delete / remove the recovery user
• If your migration was manually done with the help of support- then that automated process wouldn't have removed them
