Issue/Introduction

Task Manager shows multiple versions of the Ob721PR.EXE process running (see screenshot below)

Is this expected behavior?

Environment

CA Plex r7.2.1

Resolution

In a CA Plex dispatcher multithreaded environment, the dispatcher (OB721DP.exe) spawns multiple sub-processes OB721PR.EXE (as per the configuration), each of which runs multiple threads - one for each client.

For example, the below screenshot shows there are two Ob721PR.exe processes launched to serve multiple clients and one of the Ob721PR.exe process is serving couple of Clients (each thread in the list serving an individual Plex client).

For example, if the dispatcher configuration is set to support 100 concurrent clients and it is serving only 90 clients, then 10 clients more can be connected/served.  This will taken care by dispatcher and in the case of existing client disconnects, that capacity then will be available to serve new clients.
