MTU of the SNMP traps for alerts is too high.

Issue/Introduction

• Test Notifications from the SNMP plugin to the endpoint are received, but generated Alert Notifications are not received on the end point. 
  
  
• Packets sent by VMware Aria Operations via SNMP plugin can be large.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x 

Resolution

The packet leaves VMware Aria Operations correctly.  VMware Aria Operations is not responsible for any defragmentation of packets that occurs on the network. VMware Aria Operations operates at the application level. 
This issue will need to be investigated on your network.  A suggested recommendation to address this issue is to increase the MTU size on your network.
