Issue/Introduction

Introduction:

After installing SD noticed that there are many ports that are used by the application some TCP and UDP.

Question:

Why is necessary to have open the UDP ports (2100 through 2200 and port 2300)?

Environment:

All versions of SD, both Advanced Availability and Conventional

Answer:

The 2100 UDP port is used by the slump process to ping the different nodes in order to determine if they are up and running.

It is necessary to have UDP ports 2100 through 2200 and port 2300 allowed in the firewall. This will permit SD to connect properly and to maintain the connection between each server configured.
