Unable to see existing Buckets on the Object Storage Extension in the VMware Cloud Director Portal

Issue/Introduction

• Buckets may be missing in the Object Storage Extension in the Cloud Director Portal
• Bucket and contents still exist on the Storage Provider
• User accounts have recently been renamed or deleted in the Cloud Director Organization

Environment

VMware Cloud Director Object Storage Extension 3.x

Resolution

Create a custom user storage mapping to correct the inaccuracy. More information can be found in the documentation here: Create a custom storage user mapping

1. TA list Users → Choose current TA name → Edit Storage Users
2. Assign additional storage user → Input user → SAVE
3. Refresh Buckets Page: Refresh the Buckets page to check if the missing bucket has been restored.
4. Double check the storage user info in OSE db, and the command to query storage user is:
   
   SELECT * FROM platform_user_mapping WHERE platform_user_id='user';
