Issue/Introduction

When the Agent is started with a specific user rather than under LocalSystem, defined in the Service Manager, the jobs don't work correctly.

A job that should fail finishes with status ENDED_OK and no Report (REP) is written.

The Agent doesn't write its log file either.

Environment

Windows Java Agent 24.x

Cause

DE173245

Resolution

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.

Fix version:
Component(s): Agent Windows and Service Manager

Automation.Engine 24.4.2 HF3 - Available
Automation.Engine 24.4.3 - Planned release December 2025

Note that both the Agent and the Service Manager need to be at v24.4.2 HF3 or higher to make the specific user work!

Additional Information

Public Description: Windows Job fails (1314 - A required privilege is not held by the client.) when the Agent is started as specific user in Service Manager.
