Issue/Introduction

Control Compliance Suite (CCS)

You are using CCS to scan Oracle databases on a CCS agent, and it did work correctly but now it is reporting the following error: (actual error may vary from the example below)

Failure occured in query execution.  ERROR= ORA-28001: the password has expired.  Changing password for CCSDBA.  New password=  ERROR: ORA-00988: missing or invalid password.  Password unchanged=SP2-0751: Unable to connect to Oracle. Exiting SQL*Plus.  Scope is database '<database_name>' on server <servername>

Resolution

The password for the CCSDBA account has expired.  Rerun the ccsorsetup command to recreate the CCSDBA account that will create a new password for CCS to use.

ccsorasetup -s <database>

or 

ccsorasetup -s -all
