Scheduler Job Management

Issue/Introduction

On non-CPU jobs, option AUTOSTRT on the DEFINE JBR and ADD JOB commands indicates whether START is to be automatically posted.  The default is AUTOSTRT=NO.

How to set AUTOSTRT=YES as the default value for all non-CPU jobs without having to use or to rely on the DEFINE JBR or ADD JOB command?

Resolution

Apply Scheduler PTF LU15376.  This PTF adds new CAS9 CAIJGEN option AUTOSTRT=NO|YES.

AUTOSTRT=NO|YES (Optional) Determines how non-CPU jobs are started.
AUTOSTRT=NO, will require a non-CPU job to be manually started.
AUTOSTRT=YES, will automatically start a non-CPU job when it has been submitted.
Default: NO
NOTE: If the AUTOSTRT=NO|YES keyword is included in the job definition, it will override this value.
