Error: NodeRef is nil, failed to update node

Issue/Introduction

• During the upgrade of k8s  from v1.29.6 to v1.30.2 the node would provision in k8s side but will not change into ready state
• No VMs will be deployed on vcenter for the new version
• Updates for the remaining nodes will not progress

Resolution

1. Perform a rollout restart of capi and capv deployments:
   

   kubectl -n <namespace> rollout restart deployments

2. Deleted the node which is showing in provisioned state

The upgrade for the rest of the nodes will continue.
