Mutually exclusive jobs involving AutoSchd job are not working

Issue/Introduction

We have defined the mutual exclusive set up between  two jobs in the JOBTRAC  EXCLPARM member, but both of the jobs executed at same time.  One of the jobs in the EXCLPARM member is an AutoSchd job.  What is causing the mutual exclusion process to fail?

 

Resolution

 Events submitted from outside of Jobtrac, including auto-scheduled jobs, are not recognized by mutual exclusion processing.  This is document in the Extended Scheduling Guide in Chapter 2 in the section entitled 'How Mutual Exclusion Works'.
