In our development environment, we notice that deleting a project version could lead to a pause as long as 15 or 30 minutes. When this happens, TDM portal hangs for every user.
Using our surveillance tool, we noticed that when deleting, now useless, versions, we saw a request is made to the referential DB and the portal seems to wait for the answer to that request.

This is expected. If a project is heavily used across the many features that we have in the TDM product, all the tables in the TDM repository that are linked to such features will need to be updated and remove entries that are linked to that version/project.
Open a support case, and provide the exact query that you suspect is causing the delay, TDM Software Engineering will investigate if there is a need for an index to help speed up the process.
