When creating auto scale groups, clicking submit doesn't trigger, We see a blank screen

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to create Auto Scale Groups in VMware Cloud Director, you may encounter a blank screen or when trying to load the screen we see errors.

In the browser's developer tool under networking you see access-related errors such as “Access to resource is forbidden” or “Http failure response for https://<portal>/api/admin/vdc/<id>/edgeGateways?... : 403 Forbidden” error in UI

 

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x

Cause

These issues occur due to missing rights in the Global Rights and Rights Bundle assignments.

Resolution

• Update the Global Rights and Rights Bundle to include the required Auto Scale permissions.

• Follow the official prerequisites outlined here:
  Publish the Auto Scale Rights Bundle
