SE_REDIS_CONNECTION_DOWN Alerts Triggred on Avi Controller

Issue/Introduction

Recieved System-SE-REDIS-CONN-DOWN Alert on AVI controller for majority of the ServiceEngines

Cause

We observed secure channel flaps occurring at the same time as Redis Connection Down alerts, as seen below:

Log File: secure-channel log file 

Path: /var/log/upstart on the ServiceEngine.

 

Resolution

The connection from the Service Engine to the controller is failing, resulting in a Redis connection down event. This issue is a side effect of a secure channel failure.

Check for potential issues on the network side.
