Issue/Introduction

Running the DCD FEYIDB2 Job receives DSNT408I SQLCODE = -601, ERROR. How can these errors be addressed?

Resolution

When running the DCD FEYIDB2 Job which creates the Data Content Discovery DB2 database, binds Data Content Discovery Plans, sites can encounter DSNT408I SQLCODE = -601, ERRORs.

DSNT408I SQLCODE = -601, ERROR:  THE NAME (VERSION OR VOLUME SERIAL NUMBER) OF THE OBJECT TO BE DEFINED OR THE TARGET OF A RENAME STATEMENT IS IDENTICAL TO THE EXISTING NAME (VERSION OR VOLUME SERIAL NUMBER) CADCDDB OF THE OBJECT TYPE DATABASE   

These errors can occur if the Data Content Discovery DB2 database from a prior install was not deleted or if the DCD FEYIDB2 Job was run previously and did not complete successfully.

To address the problem the FEYDDB2 job which executes SQL Drop statements that will delete the CA DCD DB2 DATABASE should be run. The FEYDDB2 job can be found in the DCD run-time CFEYJCL library. This job should be run prior to running the DCD FEYIDB2 Job if there is a the Data Content Discovery DB2 database from a prior install or if the DCD FEYIDB2 Job was run previously and did not complete successfully.
