Change database connection details for Identity Governance

Issue/Introduction

Introduction:

When connection information for CA Identity Governance databases is changed, it must also be updated in the application server's data source configuration.

Question: 

Where can the database connection details such as server name, user name or password, be updated for CA Identity Governance if they have changed?

Environment:

CA Identity Governance 12.6x

Answer: 

In order to update the DB connection details, follow these steps: 

1. Shutdown JBoss. 

2. Edit the relevant -ds.xml files. On Windows they are located by default at C:\Program Files\CA\RCM\Server\eurekify-jboss\server\eurekify\deploy: 

eurekify-ds.xml 

reportdb-ds.xml 

wp-ds.xml 

3. Restart JBoss.

Additional Information:

By default the passwords are in clear-text in those files. If you have previously encrypted them following the steps in the documentation, you'd want to do so again, and can follow the steps in TEC613958.
