North-South traffic for overlay segments not working via T1 gateway

Issue/Introduction

Cannot ping outside networks or Google DNS from any of the VMs within segments when linked to a specific T1 gateway.

Cause

When configuring a Tier 1 gateway, the 'All Connected Segments & Service Ports' option for 'Route advertisement' on the T1 gateway needs to be enabled to advertise segments/routes to T0 for N-S routing to work.

Resolution

• In NSX Manager UI, go to Networking  > Tier-1 Gateways.
• Edit specific Tier-1 gateway and confirm if  'All Connected Segments & Service Ports' option is enabled under 'Route Advertisement'.
• If not enabled, toggle the radio button to enable 'All Connected Segments & Service Ports'.
• Save the changes.
