Issue/Introduction
VAMI page stuck loading and "cancel network update" is grayed out.
Normal vCenter UI is not affected and works as normal.
After adding wrong additional DNS IP in DNS configuration through VAMI, the UI gets stuck at the following:
Cause
If incorrect IP address was added as an alternative DNS, after applying the change, Appliance Management page may get stuck at Modifying Network Configuration.
Resolution
To unstuck the VAMI page, you can restart the applmgmt service through SSH connection to vCenter:
Take offline snapshot of vCenter VM
Connect to vCenter over SSH session
Login as root
Type shell to access shell
Run the following command to stop Appliance Management Service:
service-control --stop --applmgmt
Once the service is stopped, run the following command to start the service:
service-control --start --applmgmt
You should be able to login to VAMI page now. After logging in, you can edit the incorrectly added alternative DNS IP address
